Pool heaters enable you to enjoy swimming all year round but they require regular maintenance if you want to keep them working.

If you don’t properly maintain your pool heater it won’t work and you won’t be able to use your pool. Keeping your pool heater running can let you use your pool year round or at least for a few extra months.

Most pool heaters burn natural or propane gas to heat the water. These heaters have to be cleaned regularly to keep the burners from clogging. Dust, debris and spider webs can all clog these burners so it’s a good idea to vacuum these heaters regularly.

If you use a propane heater check the amount of propane in the tank on a regular basis to see if you need to refill it. Keeping the propane tank refilled will keep the system running and your pool warm.

To ensure safety and prevent leaks you should check the pipes that supply gas to these heaters on a regular basis. A great way to detect leaks is to fill a spray bottle with water mixed with liquid dish soap. Spray the solution on the pipes and joints and look for bubbles. If you see bubbles you’ve got a gas leak, shut down the heater immediately and call for service.

Electrical pool heaters can be safer because they don’t use gas but they still require regular maintenance. These heaters use electrical elements to warm the water in the pool. Minerals from the pool water can build up on these elements and damage them. Regularly cleaning the elements with a wire brush can prevent this.

If an electrical element becomes worn or damaged replace it immediately to avoid electrocution. It’s a good idea to drain the pool before replacing the heating elements unless you can take the heater out of the pool. You can take the element off the heater after it’s unplugged or power is turned off and take it to the store to see what new element you need. Before getting into the pool again, test the new element to see if the heater is working properly.

When you get a new pool heater always have it installed by a professional to ensure safety. To keep your pool heater working, have it serviced by a professional at least once a year.

You can save energy and cut pool heating costs by adding a thermostat and timer to your pool heater. This will enable you to heat the water only when you need to.

As more people become aware of the health issues involved with using toxic chemicals regularly in the home, people are turning to green cleaning, including the green maid service. Unlike other maid services, a green maid service will use only natural cleaning products in the home. When a maid uses only natural cleaning formulas, the client will not be exposed to the harsh and toxic ingredients found in many brand name cleaners.

A green maid service can clean a home from top to bottom without using any toxins in the home. For many people, who are sensitive to household toxins, this is a welcome service. After setting up the service, the maid will arrive in the home for pre-scheduled cleaning sessions.

For a thorough cleaning, the green maid or maids will start cleaning any room at the ceiling. This allows any debris to fall to a lower surface. As the maid continues cleaning her way down the room, all debris will eventually fall to the floor where it can be collected and disposed. For lighter cleaning services, the maid will clean whatever surfaces and rooms as instructed while following the rules for green cleaning. A green maid service will usually offer a variety of cleaning service packages that can satisfy all budgets and preferences.

The green maid will either make her own green cleaning formulas or buy green cleaning solutions for the job. If the maid is making natural green cleaning formulas, typical ingredients that are used in such recipes include vinegar, natural soap, vegetable oil, lemon juice, essential oils, salt, borax and baking soda. These are the types of ingredients that can be found in the old fashioned cleaning formulas and disinfectants that have worked for centuries before the introduction of petro-chemical based cleaners.

If the maid buys the green cleaning formulas, the green maid can find a variety of green cleaning formulas on the market for a variety of uses. There are even strong and effective cleaners that can be used to disinfect and clean the bathroom and kitchen. There are a variety of strong natural cleaners that will kill and remove mold and mildew. There are natural cleaners that can be used for a variety of purposes including laundry, floors, walls, carpets, dishes, toys and all other surfaces in the home.

Depending on a customer’s preferences, a maid may offer a turndown service or burn fragrant essential oils so that when the client returns home, they are met with a ready bed or a wonderful aroma. Not all customers want to be exposed to essential oils so this is not an option for everyone. Most green maid services are willing to tailor their services to meet each customer’s individual needs, including using the products that the client prefers.

As the green movement moves ahead, the green maid service is a part of the momentum. As more people become aware of our dependence on a healthy environment, they are choosing green products, even if they have to pay other people to use the green products for them in their home. The development of the green maid service is an example of how business sectors are responding to the consumer’s demand for more green products.
